one thing that you can do though that helps is find a mozilla theme that
fits a little better and 

cp ~/.mozilla/$USER/*/chrome/chrome.rdf ~/.galeon/mozilla/galeon/chrome/

This will let you have toolbars/buttons that match your selected theme
rather the rather ugly modern theme that galeon uses by default.
