Thank you.  I just sent a reply to another response questioning where 
j2se-common was!  Anyway, I modified the apt link to:
deb ftp://metalab.unc.edu/pub/linux/devel/lang/java/blackdown.org/debian 
woody non-free main
and it worked.  Eureka!  Here, it required that I run apt-get install -f to 
finish, but at least it's done.
