RE: Console vga mode

Try vga=ask and then use 'scan' as the option, I think it will try a bunch
of stuff and give a list, just try each one.

Mine was 4 I think.

Subject: Console vga mode

My Debian woody system boots into a 80x30 console.
Sometimes I'd like to have the old 80x25 screens back, how?

I have tried booting with vga=normal and vga=ask (and then '0') but it does
not change anything.

How do I switch to 25x80?

Thanks a lot, Robert.
