more widespread usage of LInux now, or something more sinister (like
Microsoft deliberately writing viruses to attack Linux

This seems a bit too underhanded, even for MS. Besides, if their own security alerts are any indication, I recon the boys at Redmond are a bit too busy addressing their own vulnerabilities to take time to exploit any that may be found in Linux...
