I'm a little confused after reading this post. The subject indicates that it
is a REPLY_TO, but I don't have a clue who started it or added to it.
Anyway, the info on winmodems. I went to www.google.com on my web browser
and used the keyword "linux winmodems" and the first hit was
www.linmodems.org. The front page gives details on how to proceed.
I hope you can identify the card and chip and find the driver you will need.
