dhcp works with idepci but won't work with bf24!
Hi!
I've run into this problem... I installed Debian 3.0, got everything up and
running, but I needed iptables and sound, so I went from a "idepci" install
to a "bf24" install. Now the DHCP client doesn't work. I've tried it with
two different eth cards, to no avail. And when I boot into the 2.2 (idepci)
kernel, it works again! When I'm into the 2.4.18 or 2.4.19 (compiled my own
to try, no good) it doesn't work, there's this NETDEV WATCHDOG error and
there's no answer to the DHCPREQUESTS or DHCPDISCOVER probes. Here's some
additional info:
-> dmesg:
Freeing unused kernel memory: 272k freed
Adding Swap: 261568k swap-space (priority -1)
