Hi there,

I have a question, I installed the kernel 2.4.18 from debian source with
the alsa source and the pcmcia source. Now I do have soundsupport under
my gnome2 desktop. XMMS, menu-klik-sounds etc. are there. But the sound
under Tuxracer is not working. It is saying that there is no available
sound device. Any one have a clue?

Thanks
Patrick
have you compiled alsa with oss-support?
have you perhabs a sound-server running (like esound, etc) that prevents
tuxracer from using the sound-device directly?
are the sound-settings in tuxracer (if any) correct?

I have oss-support compiled with it. Tuxracer has no settings. There was an sound-server running, ESD. Killed it, killed gdm, started plain X, started tuxracer. Still nothing. Perhaps something else it could be?

thanks
Patrick
