I hope this doesn't demean your intelligence for I in no way intend to
do that, but, is there a /dev/qft0? There isn't one on my system.
Check out /usr/src/linux/Documentation/devices.txt (sample:)
27 char QIC-117 tape
0 = /dev/qft0 Unit 0, rewind-on-close
1 = /dev/qft1 Unit 1, rewind-on-close
2 = /dev/qft2 Unit 2, rewind-on-close
3 = /dev/qft3 Unit 3, rewind-on-close
If there isn't one, then you can make a /dev/qft0 by doing:
mknod /dev/qft0 c 27 0
