bogus input message

I am working on cleaning up my internet connection setup. As part of
that work, I am watching syslog on one of my computers. I see a
message every 30 seconds from routed which says 

bogus input (from passive interface, 127.0.0.1 )

I don't think it is part of any of my real problems, but I'd like
to stop having it clutter the syslog while I look for clues about
other more serious problems. I'm running Woody, diald, ppp on 56k
modem for internet connection. 

What else should I tell?

Any ideas as to what this is?
