RAID

I want to install Debian on a computer with Gigabyte's new 6dxr+
motherboard which supports raid. I want to test out debian and will for
know be running windows on my primary partitions and due to the computer
setup I only have a hard drive's open on the 3 and 4th id channel(the
two extra channels which can run raid). The first problem is with bootup
where Debian installation can't see the channels. The other thing is, if
you can make it so that the Debian installation can see the extra ide
channels, is that channels bootable?
This is very urgent and help is needed.
