Origin signatures

Hi.

I just got Debian, and the install went fine. I'm not brand new to
linux, but I haven't touched it in a while. Running dselect for the
first time after installing, it wants to install a whole bunch of
packages (presumably because the ones on the CD are out of date). I
decide to let it, and it starts fine, but on findutils, it chokes, as
follows:

-------------
Calling dpkg with the following arguments...
/usr/bin/dpkg --unpack
/var/cache/apt/archives/findutils_4.1.7-2_i386.deb
Authenticating /var/cache/apt/archives/findutils_4.1.7-2_i386.deb ...
debsig: Origin Signature check failed. This deb might not be signed.

dpkg: error processing
/var/cache/apt/archives/findutils_4.1.7-2_i386.deb (--unpack:
 Verification on package
/var/cache/apt/archives/findutils_4.1.7-2_i386.deb failed!
-------------

So, any idea what's broken here, and how I can fix it? FWIW, the
install CDs were for Debian 2.2 Enhanced, and I'm using the stable
distribution.

Thanks in advance,
-eric
