In my box of emails caught by razor, there are several emails to
debian-user that don't fit that description. In fact, some of the
blocked messages were helpful _answers to questions_, in proper email
form, by regular contributors to the list. That's just crazy!
Further, among the blocked debian-user mail there were several
legitimate questions, posted in html, from people who are clearly new to
Debian. If someone wants to filter out html email for himself, that's
fine, but putting such mail on a public spam list is mean-spirited. It
decreases the likelihood that the ignorant user will receive either a
gentle private correction, or an answer to his honest question. Perhaps
that's a "Good Thing(tm)", but it's not a good thing for Debian.
Thanks to Bob Proulx for suggesting spamassassin. It's easy to set up,
it helps with razor's defects, and the filtering messages are quite
helpful. It looks promising.
