Re: Linux-based editor for PowerPoint presentations?

Fix your dependencies.  Use "apt-get -f install" and then try to install it again.

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:
Sorry, but the following packages have unmet dependencies:
openoffice.org: Depends: openoffice.org-bin but it is not going to be
    installed
      E: Sorry, broken packages

Any suggestions as to what I need to do? I installed libgcc1 from
testing (3.0.4-7). I tried to install openoffice.org-bin, but got
the following error:
Sorry, but the following packages have unmet dependencies:
openoffice.org-bin: Depends: libstlport4.5gcc3 but it is not
  installable
    E: Sorry, broken packages

Thanks for any help,

 Ric
