ops, Jamin is right, it should say LILO 22.2.

Well,

after the first moments of panic, I was able to put the system to work
again. I boot with and older kernel (2.2.19), and change the ext3 type
in fstab to ext2. However, I was still unable to boot with the kernel
2.4.18. I think that in the process to convert ext2 -> ext3 the kernel
image was messed up (I can't figure out how...). So, I recompiled the
2.4.18 kernel and installed it again. Now everything is fine, I can boot
the 2.4.18 kernel fine. However I have mounted all the partitions as
ext2, but they still have installed the journal file on them! I will try
to mount each partition one by one as ext3 and see...

Thanks a lot for all the responses!!
