eth0 entry on interfaces

I've my internet connection at eth1 and an intranet at eth0 (actually 1
machine on IPX/SPX). Eth1 works fine with the entries that i've made on
/etc/network/interfaces and /etc/resolv.conf, but i'm not sure how to apply
those configurations for eth0.
Should i use DHCP for it? How can i get the two machines to talk?
