Is this possible?
In /etc/network/interfaces:
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
auto eth0
iface eth0 inet dhcp
auto eth0:1
iface eth0:1 inet dhcp
auto eth1
iface eth1 inet static
address 192.168.0.1
netmask 255.255.255.0
network 192.168.0.0
broadcast 192.168.0.255
And have all traffic coming in on eth0:1 forwarded to n where n is a
specific IP in 192.168.0.n without any filtering of incoming
packets whatsoever?
I may have to spoof a MAC address to get more than one DHCP address, if
so, how do I do this, and what's considered a "safe" MAC to try?
The goal here is to clean up my home network so the cable modem isn't
plugged directly into the switch, and allow my roommate to take
advantage of transparent proxying and still be able to serve. Any
ideas?
