Many GNU projects such as the GNU coreutils of fileutils, textutils,
sh-utils, etc. are using help2man now which converts the --help output
of a program into a manpage automatically.  Assuming the program's
--help output is kept up to date then a syntax guide man page is
easily produced automatically.  Then the more extensive info
documentation can fill in the details and needs of being a user guide.
