Did I do something wrong?
# eject

huh, I didn't use any arguments

# eject -v

it says hdc isn't mounted but it is a link to:

# mount
/dev/cdrom on /cdrom type iso9660 (ro,noexec,nosuid,nodev,iocharset=cp950)
