problems with cyrus (sid) on woody

Hi,

I have installed the cyrus-Server from sid on a debian woody installation:

name       : Cyrus IMAPD
version    : v2.1.3-Debian(unstable) 2002/04/12 00:38:18
vendor     : Project Cyrus
support-url: http://asg.web.cmu.edu/cyrus
os         : Linux
os-version : 2.4.18
environment: Cyrus SASL 2.1.2
             Sleepycat Software: Berkeley DB 3.2.9: (April 7, 2002)
             OpenSSL 0.9.6c 21 dec 2001
             CMU Sieve 2.1
             TCP Wrappers
             UCD-SNMP 4.2.3
             lock = fcntl
             auth = unix
             idle = poll
             mboxlist.db = db3
             subs.db = flat
             seen.db = flat
             duplicate.db = db3-nosync
             tls.db = db3-nosync

For whatever reason, I seem to have problems with some permission:

$ telnet 0 110
Trying 0.0.0.0...
Connected to 0.0.0.0.
Escape character is '^]'.
+OK imp Cyrus POP3 v2.1.3-Debian(unstable) server ready
<3293748800.1020694568@imp>
user Zulu
+OK Name is a valid mailbox
pass ***
-ERR [SYS/PERM] Unable to open maildrop
quit
+OK
Connection closed by foreign host.

The mailbox was created with cyradm, login to the imapd does work.
(authentication is with pam) All processes run as user cyrus, who is owner of
all the files.
First of all, everything looks fine, but I'm not able
- to deliver mails to the mailboxes
- to connect via pop3
- to create folder with imap (it does work with cyradm)

Any help is appreciated!
Kerstin
