soundblaster 128 pci



I've got a soundblaster 128 pci card. 

I'm trying to use it with alsa (with debian potato). 

Can't make it working. 

While booting I can see in the end of the list that the card has been found. 

However before that the booting process announces that 'starting sound-driver 
es 1371 failed'. 

Alsaconf doesn't find the card, but it is listed there anyway. 

Does anybody know the secret how/what to do do?
