to get any app to print to the printer...
- if the printer is connected to the debian box...
it is a local printer to that box
- otherwise, its a network printer...

restart lpd after editing
- for MS apps...
- use their printer manager in their control panel
- you should be able to select which printer you wanna print to
- for *nix...
- use your fav apps.... ( printtool, vi,
- on the machine that has the printer connected...
- its best to find a printer config utility that lists yourprinter
( apsfilter, magicfilter, cups, printtool, etc...
