Problems building xv

OK, xv is well and truly gone from the woody binary distribution.

Unfortunately, it's a MUST HAVE for me. So I thought, this is no problem,
went and grabed the source tarball, and prepated to build it. no such luck
:-(

Here's the tail end of the build:

make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/pd/xv/xv-3.10a/tiff'
cc -O -DDOJPEG -Ijpeg -DDOTIFF -Itiff -DDOPDS -c xv.c
In file included from xv.c:11:
xv.h:119: conflicting types for `sys_errlist'
/usr/include/stdio.h:552: previous declaration of `sys_errlist'
make: *** [xv.o] Error 1

I _really_ need this.

Can anyone give me some advice on building this? Or is thee a sane way to
copy it over from a machien I already have it installed on?
