RE: best way to install non debian package



Good that this discussion came up. I lost my checkinstall file which I
downloaded earlier and can't reach this site now (always inaccessible?).
Can somebody give me a copy of this checkinstall package?

No. That is why I gave the address of the site. They have deb of
checkinstall. Go ahead and try it. I like it very much and would be
happy if it can make it to debian main.
