upgrade 2.4.17 -> 2.4.18 and DRI vanished!

Hi,

I have an ATI radeon card and have been using DRI for many months.
I use the stock Debian kernel packages.  When I recently installed
the 2.4.18 kernel, DRI stopped working!

Today I noticed that the "radeon" module has changed locations:

  steve@riemann{steve}locate radeon.o
  /lib/modules/2.4.17-686/kernel/drivers/char/drm/radeon.o
  /lib/modules/2.4.18-686/kernel/drivers/char/drm-4.0/radeon.o

Was this a mistake, or is there something I should have done
during the upgrade?
