hi all,
only recently i started getting these in the logs of one of my slave
nameserver:
Jan 30 11:19:44.973 general: info: zone dyn.madduck.net/IN: refresh:
failure trying master 195.226.187.154#53: timed out
Jan 30 11:19:45.663 general: info: zone metrosophia.com/IN: refresh:
failure trying master 195.226.187.154#53: timed out
however, on the slave:
diamond% host -l metrosophia.com 195.226.187.154
metrosophia.com. A 195.226.187.154
[...]
diamond% host -l dyn.madduck.net 195.226.187.154
dyn.madduck.net. A 195.226.187.154
[...]
the zone transfer works. granted, slave is in philadelphia, master in
munich germany, so a packet or two are bound to get lost, but i get
these too often to not worry, and i didn't change anything. what can
be causing these? and how can i fix them?

micro$oft dns service terminates abnormally
when it receives a response
to a dns query that was never made.
fix information: run your dns service on a different platform.
