Yeah, there are a few people who thought of packaging mplayer (myself
included). But it's too scary to do because of copyrights and
crypto-laws. MPlayer plays almost every proprietary format stream by
using Windows DLL's, and you can not re-distribute those. Furthermore it
supports to play DVD's and for that you need the DeCSS library, and that
could well be illegal in your country :)
