Hi Ani,

I'm using `xlock ... -logoutButton -1` ... some months ago I found that on
man page but now it isn't there. Looks like manual isn't friendly enought ;)

Anyway you can try use xscreensaver it works much better for me ... I need
to blank screen but not by DPMS because of lengthly monitor startup after
standby.

For disabling console you can use vlock ... try to alias startx in this
way: startx='startx & vlock -a'.
