Did you delete an open file? If you delete a file while another program is writing to it, the space is not reallocated until the writing process is terminated. In this case, you may be able to locate the open process with: - lsof - ps If lsof shows the process, you can kill it. Otherwise, switching to single user mode, or as a last resort, rebooting the system, may reset things. If none of the above work, something else is wrong. -- Karsten M.
