u can read the man fetchmail. and try to configure the .fetchmailrc
my .fetchmailrc is 

set logfile "/var/log/fetchmail.log"
set postmaster="jijojose"

poll pop3.server.of.isp proto POP3 dns timeout 250 user "jijojose" 
smtphost localhost password "*****" is username here forcecr flush 
fetchall nokeep mda /usr/bin/procmail;
