URGENT: Woody upgrade breaks openAFS

Greetings-

Yesterday I upgraded my office debian system to testing (woody). Most
things worked fine, but openAFS didn't. I had openAFS 1.1.1 running fine
under potato, and in fact had posted my experiences with getting it
working here:

http://www.unc.edu/~aperrin/tips/src/afs-debian-potato-unc.txt

In order to do the AFS upgrade to woody, I did the following:
- Removed old openAFS packages
- Removed the openafs.org lines from /etc/apt/sources.list
- apt-get install openafs-client
- Followed the directions in README.modules to compile and load the
	openafs kernel modules
- Entered the appropriate information in /etc/openafs/CellServDB and
	/etc/openafs/ThisCell
- /etc/init.d/openafs-client start

Here's what I've got:
- openAFS does seem to be running:
hm269-26876:/etc/openafs# ps ax | grep afsd
  254 ? S< 0:00 /usr/sbin/afsd -stat 2000 -dcache 800 -daemons
3 -volumes 70 -afsdb
  255 ? S 0:00 /usr/sbin/afsd -stat 2000 -dcache 800 -daemons
3 -volumes 70 -afsdb
  256 ? S< 0:00 /usr/sbin/afsd -stat 2000 -dcache 800 -daemons
3 -volumes 70 -afsdb
  257 ? S 0:00 /usr/sbin/afsd -stat 2000 -dcache 800 -daemons
3 -volumes 70 -afsdb
  258 ? S 0:00 /usr/sbin/afsd -stat 2000 -dcache 800 -daemons
3 -volumes 70 -afsdb
  259 ? S 0:00 /usr/sbin/afsd -stat 2000 -dcache 800 -daemons
3 -volumes 70 -afsdb
  260 ? S 0:00 /usr/sbin/afsd -stat 2000 -dcache 800 -daemons
3 -volumes 70 -afsdb
  261 ? S 0:00 /usr/sbin/afsd -stat 2000 -dcache 800 -daemons
3 -volumes 70 -afsdb
  262 ? S 0:00 /usr/sbin/afsd -stat 2000 -dcache 800 -daemons
3 -volumes 70 -afsdb
  263 ? S 0:00 /usr/sbin/afsd -stat 2000 -dcache 800 -daemons
3 -volumes 70 -afsdb

- I can't log into anything:
aperrin@hm269-26876:~$ klog
Password:
Unable to authenticate to AFS because unknown cell was passed to SetToken.

- There's nothing in /afs:
aperrin@hm269-26876:~$ ls -la /afs
total 8
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Dec 13 09:18 .
drwxr-xr-x 23 root root 4096 Dec 13 09:18 ..

- openAFS isn't mounted anywhere:
aperrin@hm269-26876:~$ mount
/dev/hda3 on / type ext2 (rw,errors=remount-ro,errors=remount-ro)
proc on /proc type proc (rw)
devpts on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,gid=5,mode=620)
/dev/hda4 on /home type ext2 (rw)
/dev/hda1 on /boot type ext2 (rw)

- There's nothing I can discern of interest in any logs (kern.log, syslog,
messages, daemon.log)

I'm stumped, and this is pretty important (I've come to rely on my AFS
space). Any help will be much appreciated.
