i had problems to use anything else except for my home dir as drive d:
finally what occured to me was to simply copy free dos to the partition
i wanted to use (originally) as d: and then make the /usr/lib/freedos
a symlink to this partition mounted as /dos
so now i can use it as drive C:
it works fine with dosemu and it is also mounted in the linux fs
