Re: DVD player

Along the same lines... Is there any good software that will allow me to take full advantage of some of the multimedia cards that have full A/V in and out?  And also backup a DVD.  Just in case the original gets scratched?

Hi Chris,

there is also ogle. I also tried vlc and xine, but i got the best
results with ogle. why? vlc suffered from hangings and segfaults on my
system, and later on i never could get acceleration to work (e.g. via
libsdl). Xine did also some "pumping", but ogle just rocks:

- fluid motion
- supports DVD menues!

please take a look at it, for me i wished i would have used it as the
first one.

I will, thanks for the tip!

Can you also give me some hint which programs I can use for ripping DVDs
or can you point me some docs on the web to get more information about
that?

Thanks in advance,

Christian Schoenebeck
