measuring bandwidth over a wan connection like that is
kinda hard..the optimal way is to have another machine
on the immediate other side of the wireless link(as soon
as it hits a wire) and do a http or ftp transfer(low overhead).
thats probably one of the best ways to get the bandwidth
of the *wireless* link. then there may be other issues
with routing on the wireless ISP(assuming your doing a true
wireless). which will appear to affect bandwidth but it
may only be to a particular network or part of the country.

so i guess im tryin to say is available bandwidth depends
on what your needs are .........
