Desktop icons in Gnome 1.4 (woody)

Hi everyone...

I'm using Gnome 1.4 + Sawfish from Woody. When I create a new
shortcut on the desktop, I can't customize its icon...

Let me be more precise:
- when dragging an icon from the panel to the desktop, its icon
is (1) changed a default one and (2) I can not change it
- when trying to "Recreate default icons" from the Gnome desktop
menu, they effectively are created, but I can not change the
displayed icon

Does anybody have an idea ?
