There are a number of unrelated? font issues floating around.  I've
currently got the Gtk "doublebyte fonts render as rectangles" problem on
at least one box here.  I've been working through a checklist of things
that worked the previous times I've dealt with this.  libgnomeprint-data
was one package involved, it's changed supbstantially, and has shown up
earlier today on list as having problems.
