Sounds like you've got a fairly old abcde; IIRC, the current
(testing) version uses freedb by default.
Anyhow, to fix this, open up /usr/bin/abcde in your text editor of
choice and find the line that assigns a value to CDDBURL. Change it
to:
CDDBURL="http://freedb.freedb.org/~cddb/cddb.cgi"
and you should be good to go.
