woody and vsound 0.5

Hello,

I'm running woody and vsound 0.5.  When I try to run 
vsound it starts and actually records a bit of audio but then dies
after a few seconds with this message:

/usr/bin/vsound: line 163:  1045 Aborted  
LD_PRELOAD="$pkglibdir/libvsound.so" "$@"

Any suggestions are much appreciated.
