First you have to double check with ATI - http:www.support.ati.com - to make
sure that this is right, but I believe it uses the xserver-mach64
server.  Just apt-get install, and change your lines in XF86Config to
use the "ati" module - again, this is what I believe from memory - I'm
now running X4.  If the ati module runs slowly, try the r128 instead.
There are a number of good sites out there that do a step by step
walkthrough - a quick look on Google should help with any other
problems.  A side note - X4 supports this chipset in its xserver-common
package, and I have gotten much better response out of it after the
upgrade.
