I attempted to but failed. Willing to give me/us a step-by-step, Erik?
It compiled fine, yet was unable to get the sound working. 
Don't remember the errors. I'm not satisfied with the emu10k1 driver, and
would like to get ALSA working. (unstable, 2.4.10)
