very nice, *but* -- and this is a problem i am currently struggling
with... what if the syslog file gets rotated away by logrotate or
other means? i don't particularly want to modify logrotate for this...
how can you make a script detect that the name of the file of the
inode it is following changes, and then to reattach to the new
file/inode?
