I've got both cards in my firewall box.

If you're building your own kernel, use
CONFIG_NET_EISA=y
CONFIG_EEXPRESS_PRO100=y
CONFIG_NET_ETHERNET=y
CONFIG_NET_VENDOR_3COM=y
CONFIG_VORTEX=y
