Network cards are named eth0, eth1, eth2, ... in the order the drivers are
loaded. You can load the module by using 'modconf' and then edit
/etc/network/interfaces and add an entry like:
iface eth1 inet static
address 192.168.1.1
netmask 255.255.255.0
network 192.168.1.0
gateway 192.168.1.3
Then use 'ifup eth1' to activate the settings. You can control them with:
'ifconfig' and 'route -n'.
