TCPQuota. possible bug?

I tried to install TCPQuota on my woody box (sacrifice) tonight, and
couldn't. This is what happened:

---------------------------fragment--------------------------------

What is the password for the mySQL admin user?

Is the choosen configuration correct?
  Protocol: ppp
  Local address: dynamic
  Local nets: 10.0.0.0
  Free users:
  mySQL server: localhost:3306
  mySQL admin user: root
  mySQL admin passwd: *******

Okay? (Y/n)y

Now, you can edit the file /etc/tcpquota/tcpquota.cf
to fine tune you configuration, but it will work as is...

Creating the tcpquota mySQL database... dpkg: error processing
tcpquota (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Errors were encountered while processing:
 tcpquota
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
na@sacrifice:~$ su
Password:
sacrifice:~# tcpquotad
sacrifice:~# DBI->connect(tcpquota:localhost:3306) failed: Access
denied for user: 'root@localhost' (Using password: NO) at
/usr/sbin/tcpquotad line 376
Can't connect to database at localhost:3306.Can't call method
"prepare" on an undefined value at /usr/sbin/tcpquotad line 1059.

sacrifice:~#

-------------------------end fragment------------------------------

Notes: I did set the password, and Yes, the password was correct
(Afterwards I logged into mysql with the same one)

Any suggestions?

Yours In Total Sincerity
