Re: fixing a debian system: which RTFM to start?



Make sure that lba32 option is not in your lilo.conf file and replace it
with linear if it is.  That gotcha got me a while ago, I had to boot
from a bootdisk until I figured it out as well.  I always run lilo -l
now to make sure it's setting things up as a linear address.
