I had this same experience with getting wxPython for python2, but I just copied the entire /usr/lib/python1.5/wxPython directory into /usr/local/lib/python2.0/site-packages, and to my surprise, it works (despite a nasty-looking string of warnings of error mismatches). --Brendan
