Type '/sbin/ifconfig' and see wheter there is an excessive number oferror packages. From time to time (probably they just had one machinenot working right or something), I had problems with my ISP (dialupppp) so that there were more and more erroneous packages. They seemto have fixed that. Could have been a combination of a kernel 2.2.xbug with the os on the ISP's side.
