Well, with some limitations. You won't be able to run two Xs without
some fiddling. Ditto network servers. You probably wouldn't want to
use the chroot to test anything system critical, since you can't
exactly test booting under it.

Once in a while, there are binary modules which require a specific
kernel shipped by redhat. Such as the Dell OMSA modules. You could
probably get those to work under a 2.2.16 kernel you compiled, or you
could just get the old RHL kernel source and compile that, but you
wouldn't want to....
