Well I guess we all should complain about minicon not authenticateing.
Tho I doubt it would do us any good.  Minicom is a terminal program.
I used it (loooong ago) to check out what my ISP was looking for when
I dialed in.  It doesn't authenticate, nor is it supposed to.  Had you
read the man page, you would have known that.

I can't help you with wvdial as I have never used it but I would
suggest that you download pppconfig, read the man page, and then
connect to the net.

Wish RedHat would do more to educate users, like Debian does.
