pppoe as user impossible??

Hello all,

I'm confused because i can't get a working dsl connection as user.
As root there is no problem.

This is an uptodate debian/unstable system with kernel 2.4.5ac7 on Athlon classic 600MHz, 256MB RAM
with 2 realtek 8139c nic's.

Here is the ppp-log file:

What can i do to solve the problem?

I have looked in the manual's readme's but no info found.

Thanks in advance
