Why do you want so? As you are new to Linux it might seem logical to
protect your system by not allowing the users to see what's on it.
However any user can download all that software himself and see anything
you are trying to hide anyway. The exception to this is ofcourse files
that do contain secret information like /etc/shadow . However you're
users can't view those files anyway. If they can it's a bug.
So if you're just trying to make your box more secure what you're trying
to do won't help much.
